Clouds in the sky on the deep blue horizon,
Sail in the wind and are lit by the sun,
As white as the snowfall that lies on the mountains,
Changing and moving like avalanche run.
In circles they're rolling by
And different patterns form,
For as they pass they rise and fall
Like smoke they dance and play.
Clouds in the sky on the deep blue horizon,
Vieled in fine silk as they move through the air,
Storm clouds like anvils are racing to join them,
Bringers of rainfall and darkness despair.
The sunlight is hidden now
The wind is blowing strong,
And thunder rolls and lightning flash
The storm then drifts away.
Clouds in the sky on the deep blue horizon,
Shining like gold and the wind is now still,
Gently they move as they follow each other,
Like sheep in the meadow they wander at will.
Sunlight now shines once more
A rainbow with colours bright,
Does arch across the storm that's passed
On clouds so dark and grey.
