Having Fun
by Barbara Lynn Terry

When you are greeting someone
You don't have to curtsy or bow
Because a warm smile is all you need
To complete the deed.

When walking along the street
You don't need to say hello
because a passing smile
Is all you really need.

When you see a small child at play,
You don't need to stop to see
Because an inward smile
Is all you really need.

Going to a party doesn't mean
You have to drink to excess
Because having fun
Is the name of the game.

When your family has talks
You really don't need to be sad
because having fun
is not something that is bad.

You have a sense of propriety
You can mingle in society
Or you can be at the beach
Just being you and having fun.
