You walked back into my life
Without warning, without candor;
As brazen as some winter wind.
So strong is the force of your nearness,
I am imprisoned by the feelings that
Well inside me, like some volcanic force.
What am I to do?
I am entranced by your smile,
Made immobile by your touch.
When you kiss me, caress me,
I am suddenly uncertain,
No longer wise,
Compensating for these inadequacies
With aggressions you must know I do not mean.
What am I to do?
I want to run to escape the memory
Of the terror that pulled us apart
So long ago...
Now you are back, reminding me
Again and again that I was wrong...
I love you!
I always have,
There, it's said...
You don't believe me...
Now, what am I to do?
