ANDREW BLAKEMORE - The Song Of The Forest

2014-11-08 3

The song of the forest
The wind in the boughs
That whistles through leaves it does blow,
It fills my heart
Like the love of a friend
That I had lost long ago.

The sound of the woodpecker
Tapping a trunk
The rhythm does echo around,
It fills my heart
With the beating of life
And always so sweet is the sound.

The chaffinch does sing
From the tallest of trees
And he's always hidden from view,
Calls for his mate
From the branch up above
The other birds sing along too.

The bees on the flowers
Are humming a tune
The melody rings through the air,
All of its players
In time with each other
The song of the forest I share.
