Long time ago
You were a part of me
Now I’m on my own
Letting the waves of change
Flow right through me
Couldn’t tell you
But the spark soon slipped away
Now my spark is back
This is my closure
This is the way I’m walking
Don’t need to stay heart torn (this is for him)
And though the path is long
I’ll push to overcome
This pain you put me through
So don’t come in my mind
The ring holds no promise now
The doors closed in your face
It will never open again
The waves of change have grinded in me
My only recognizable trait
The pain I held on to
Is slowly coming undone.
