One mystical evening of glimmering glow,
Come lounging a winter crow,
He flew to my frozen window sill,
Pointing his frosty feathery quill,
Looking through a misty pane, in sought
He scribed his sight on to my thought,
He challenged cold depths to visit,
As he perched down alone to sit,
His long white flight, I came to see,
As he travled many snowy hills to me,
Stretching his icy wings of black,
To carry off an aged spirit upon his back.
