Us boaters
have the knack
of drowning
inanimate objects
through no lack of care.
It's a risk we have
to take,
when on a lake,
river or canal.
May sound banal
but
water is our enemy
and our friend,
and in the end
we must respect it.
My generator drowned today.
It's the latest
in a list.
Mobile and radio phone
I've kissed
goodbye.
Now my source of 240 volts
halts
its output.
A knock on the bathtap
caused a mishap.
My tap poured
and poured.
Genny in shower
(storage place, you see)
drowned in an hour.
(My generator's booklet said 'Keep it clean and dry. I got it half right! !)
