Marilyn Lott - Cold and Drippy Winter

2014-11-08 1

It was a cold and drippy winter
Yes sir, that’s what we had
Sometimes it was so icy
And frozen up so bad

Why we couldn’t get to town
The roads were a solid sheet
We were afraid that we would hit
Another vehicle on the street

And then it would start to melt
But cold we found it still
Drippy everywhere you went
We had a wet and icy chill

The playgrounds were abandoned
For the weather held no charm
Too cold and yes, too drippy
It might do the children harm

So here we go again, folks
Like putting our world in a blender
I wonder if again we’ll have
A cold and drippy winter!
