Don’t treat me like a glass butterfly
So pretty and so fragile
I could be tough as nails
Melt your heart with a smile
Don’t treat me like a broken toy
About to be returned
I could set your heart on fire
If you’re willing to get burned
Relationships
Built on loose lips
Will sink to the bottom of the sea
Shattered dreams
Bursting at the seams
Could be the end for you and me
Don’t treat me like some leftover wine
Made from grapes rotting on the vine
My kisses can wake up lost desire
And any sense to which you may aspire
I’m not some token menagerie
On a glass display for all to see
Don’t treat me like a glass butterfly
Hanging from some chandelier
I could be your shining star
And dominate your atmosphere
