Dónall Dempsey - SHADOW & LIGHT

2014-11-08 2

Light & shadow
arranged to meet

in the cathedral

speaking the strange tongue
of angels & gods.

I sit there
listening to their laughter.

The cathedral
a lesson in patience

puts up
with all their shennanagins

turns a blind eye
to their

making love
in a corner.

I leave
and they are left

without witness
to their kiss

until another mind
kneels to pray.
