ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Daisy Chains

2014-11-07 12

The little girls did laugh and play
Upon that hot and sunny day
Upon the grass the children lay
Making daisy chains.

The crowns of flowers they did wear
And woven through their golden hair
Such enjoyment they did share
Making daisy chains.

The little girls did play for hours
Weaving jewellery of flowers
Beneath the shade of leafy bowers
Making daisy chains.

Until the evening time did call
And shadows long began to fall
The children left the tree so tall
Breaking daisy chains.
