If words were bricks
would we wonder sometimes
where we set them down;
How we pile them up?
What walls would we be building?
In what encircling igloos would we
encase ourselves or others
or would we build just rooms
in which to unfold our acts?
At least we could go back,
unstack them, rearrange them
or bring them to another place.
What help could we enlist?
Or would others pick some up
and hurl them back?
