Irene C S ClarkHogg - Blaze of Glory

2014-11-07 8

I will go out in a blaze of glory.
One day I will die, as now I live.
I do not know all the answers
But this promise I can give.

Old age is only a small part of time
I can live forever within my youth
So as the smoke rises to the heavens
Use your hearts to see the truth.

A smiling figure with upstretched arms
A fiery robe and hair of flames
Eager for answers to my questions
From the eternal with many names.

Only loved ones may view my passing
Shedding no tears as the ashes burn
For they shall see the pheonix rising
And know that I return.

I am going out in a blaze of glory
For now I die as once I lived
Do not grieve, rejoice with me,
Share in all the love I give.
