Tiffanie Lein - Chill

2014-11-07 6

29 February 2008

The warmth that once upon a time resided
Snuggling near the beating drum
Both close and mutually confided
Seditious against the gelid lum*

But not enough it was to thaw
The frost encircled due to the draft
That swept the crimson puffer raw
Blown hollow and lifeless like the Laft^

The culprit? Why, none other than Logic
Whose deep recesses glacial and stormy
Rigid, potent, intense and stoic
Can any antithesis quite sully.

Blue from frost, the tinder hibernates
Some day, with hope, the ice will abate.

* Deep pool (prov. English)
^ An ancient city somewhere near/in Iran
