From there you see everything
The sleeping earth
And all her children
You keep winking all the time
Proudly standing
Amidst all our admirations
So small, but still so bright
You look like a diamond up in the sky
I keep spying on you
Submerged in your eternal beauty
All day long, I wait for the night
To see you, my tiny little friend
You have been there for ages
Seen earth as a baby, a lady
And now as a mother
On some nights
When the moon is still sleeping
You are at your might
Demanding a lot of attention
You make the waters glitter and glow
Making everything shine in silver
You see the lovers romancing
Children laughing
Yes, time stands still
You keep smiling
Not letting anyone know the secret
That you shall turn destructive one day
Engulfing one and all
Like a giant from hell
No one shall like you then
But still my little star
I love gazing at you
With a telescope in one hand
And hope in heart
I look forward to find more beauty
