She knew how to drive a tractor
And how to hitch a plow…
She fed the chicks and milked the cows
Her cheeks were rosy; she was proud
Although she did not wear diamonds or mink
In my opinion… she had a wonderful look
From the basics she was a masterful cook
In winter months she crocheted with a hook
Even if times were hard, she managed a smile
To her family, her arms always opened wide
As we walked in the garden of life side by side
I knew she was the best mother ever… worldwide
