Theres a town on a hill
Thats in my dreams
It stands so still
It closes my eyes to what I see
The lights that shine through
Are all make believe.
Theres a one eyed sailor dancing around
He falls every time he goes to sit down,
He's been out of the navy for forty years
But all his dreams still bring back fear,
If you look in the closet you can find my bones
When the light hits the ground it begins to moan,
My mind is the sidewalk walking all around
And no one helps me, up off the ground,
An angels drinking whiskey by the bar
He fills his lungs up with tar
When he fell down from heaven
He lost his wings in the yard,
Tell the old blind man at the piano
To play some sad song blues,
I don't want to tap my feet
I want to soak myself in booze,
So now the suns coming up
Its time for me to take a ride,
And show that road I mean business
And let my tires commit the crimes.
