You were a great man to leave, leave and fight the war
They will never know of the purity of which I truly saw
You were such an honest soul, one could not describe
The things you had accomplished and to never subside
You were truly one to love, care and never forget
But with these kind and loving words I’m afraid I must regret
I never told you of my heart, how I truly felt
Just thinking of that last goodbye, it will always make me melt
For there might not be a next meeting, no time to see your smile
Because you have gone into battle, you will soon walk down the mile
But just know this my dear and loving soldier
As time goes on I will always remember you as I grow older and older
Always A Silent Girl
