Marilyn Lott - Christmas Snow

2014-11-07 3

Oh my, how beautiful the snow is
I’m wearing my winter mittens
But I always slip on dark glasses
In sunshine as it brightly glistens

It coats the world around us
We’re transported once again
Our footprints crunch in deeply
We look back to where we’ve been

The lakes have an extra beauty
For they are encircled in white
We can almost hear Christmas bells
It’s winter’s lovely sweet delight

And I’ve noticed too how the cold
Is different at places I’ve roamed
There is dry cold in some states
While others soak to the bones

But whatever kind of snow falls
At the home where you reside
I’ll bet Mother Nature smiles
For it must inflate her pride!
