Kimberly Woodward - False Friend

2014-11-07 3

You knew what I liked, how to make me laugh;
your compliments I did bask;
I didn't know I was just filler;
as no one else wanted you;
they knew you were a killer;
you seemed so real; I thought it was true;
a lifetime friend, found brand new;
I didn't know I was just a mark;
How did you know I needed attention you shark?
In the future, I must give appearance of strength and independence;
or I'll be on someone else's hit list.
Soon you were busy, with work and classes;
when I called you were walking out the door;
my ego was such, I didn't know to you I was a bore;
I was under the impression;
you needed me for fun and affection;
you even borrowed my CD you bitch;
it was rare and hard to find, and it never came back.
One day, after your phony call you left to leave the presentation;
that you were lovable, should we run into each other on the street, or other location;
My timing was just right, you were not up to acting;
I finally saw the monster, that was just hiding.
Eeek you were scary, I ran for cover;
When I imagine the disappointments I've avoided, I shudder! !
