ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Cast A Stone

2014-11-07 0

I cast a stone and watch it fall
Into the deep blue sea,
While now the waves are breaking on
The shingle and the scree,
I listen to their music as
They surge upon the shore,
And so much I am longing now
To be with you once more.

I cast a stone and watch it fall
To where my love had shone,
And just in hope that as it flies
My sadness will be gone,
It is a dream that I believe
But sorrow seems to stay,
And so much I am longing now
To be with you this day.

I cast a stone and watch it fall
And as the waters part,
The diamonds of the sunlight shine
But cannot warm my heart,
That feels so cold and empty with
Such loneliness and pain,
And so much I am longing now
To be with you again.
