Why does this thing that we call time,
which fills us full of fear;
Mean so very much to us
and grow so ever dear?
Why do we fear the future
and the things that are unknown;
When we are men and women,
mature and fully grown?
Why do we fear tomorrow,
with all the joys it may behold?
Why do we dread the past
and the stories that may be told?
Do not fear the future,
and do not dread the past,
Rather let us enjoy today,
as long as it may last!
