In my lifetime of almost sixty years
I have written over a thousand or more poems
And not one of them can come close
In describing the love for me that you have shown
For with every smile and every sigh
You have given me your most precious gift of joy
It is because of you that this old man
Still feels like that young and innocent boy
Stealing his first kiss from the girl who stole his heart
And praying that every moment he has left on earth
His love and he will never be apart
And that is why I say… my love is like a poem
That I have yet to write…
