in excess of 45 million land mines
laid to maim or kill.
The victims are usually civillians
many of them children.
Over five million new land mines
are laid around the world every year,
a mere 10,000 are cleared.
It costs $3.00 to make a mine.
Over $10,000 to uproot one.
What kind of madness is this?
Death and mayhem for profit?
