K. Jared Hosein - (Children) Break Away

2014-11-07 4

Let's go, let's go!
Let's run from the silence
And skate on a note
From a bird
In the woodland grove.
Let's go to the attic
And dig into a crevice -
We'll find an abyss,
A shiny treasure trove.

Let's go!
Let's run from the usual
And take our bicycles
And break from that old trail.
Let's peddle, peddle,
Peddle against the wind,
Race with the birds
On a bicycle gale.

Let's go, let's go!
Let's find a nice little niche,
It can be at the beach
Or it can be in the brook.
It can be in the keys of a piano
Or in the words of a book.

Let's go!
Let's break away true
From the do and the do,
The day-to-day hullaballoo.
Let's break away,
Just for a day,
Your pens and your paper
Are unwelcome on this caper,
On your desk
They must stay.
