Days are consumed with passionate fever
Pursuing a dark, beautiful woman
With tantalizing storm-concealing eyes
And a proud face
Undaunted by youthful suffering.
Following the sway of her dress
Through crowded streets,
The mind is dizzy with desire
And the heart is filled
With desperate sighs.
The appearance of some women
From a far-off distance
Can reduce a man to tears
As he pleads to unknown deities
To be beside this mesmerizing, feminine essence.
There is obsession
Frighteningly all-pervasive
And eroding the last visages of sanity:
Under these circumstances,
After just meeting a woman,
A man might marry and murder her
Within a week.
