Theresa Ann Moore - Teenagers and Cell Phones

Busy schedules can leave teenagers stranded
This is why I agreed to provide when demanded
Chocolates and Razors suddenly expand desires
Increasing a need for dialogue over invisible wires

The value of a minute is measured by coins
Aimless conversation strays and jokingly joins
With laughter that flows freely in the breeze
Into hours of babble that start to squeeze

Minutes that go over the allotted amount of time
Quickly add in value like nuggets in a gold mine
Grandchildren of mine, remember this important fact
Excessive minutes are not for free, so be exact…

Keep conversations brief and don’t go over the peak
I am starting to panic and my heart is growing weak
An excessive bill could send me into cardiac arrest
Be considerate and heed your Granny’s request…
