Witness how the grass is growing greener by the moment as the rain falls on the dry lawn and nearly a dozen earthworms crawl out of their holes for a dip and to wash the dirt from behind their ears as several very anxious birds filled with a hungry desire look down from the tree tops in total disbelief for they cannot believe their eyes or their good fortune to be alive on a day like today….
Witness how the loud wind blows the sharp rain off of the round red tiles and roof and into the straight gutter spouts where gravity then sucks the wet stuff down through a painted thin tin straw and floods the ground below with a much needed drink as colonies of carpenter ants make the swim to a fleet of waxed magnolia leaf lifeboats which have come to carry them safely back to their home on the sandy hills…
Witness the weatherman asleep in his rope hammock; he has tied his dreams to today’s forecast of sunny without the chance of any significant rain….
As the hungry birds place their bets on where the lightning will strike next, one of the worms drops the soap….
