a proud robin
sang
her song's libretto
dancing
through the still, leafy trees
only for me
only for the solitary walker
my stride checked
by the glorious vibrato
as the gentle river
bubbled past
harmonising
in the clear air -
her birth place
an age-old spring
deep in the earth
of the faraway mountain
and I captured the moment
captured the intensity
of the world at peace
