In the twilight of the dawn
You can hear the mourning's song,
You can sense the lost and lonely as they weep.
As the tears of mourning show,
It's there to let you know
Another day of suffering's here to keep.
Is there nothing I can do
To relieve my memories of you
My beloved, sad and lonely, little cat.
I loved you as I would
Few believed I could
But few are friends and many are but nothing.
So here I stand at dawn
Calling, but knowing your gone,
My friend, my teacher, my fine and furry white cat.
