A year ago today,
I died a tragic death.
I was beaten and drugged,
Slammed down on a mattress,
Stripped in shame,
And locked within a room
So everyone could see inside.
As I struggled to maintain consciousness,
I could hear them giggling
And started to feel the humiliation,
The shame that they cast out upon me.
I was left there for days
With no food nor water.
I struggled to survive.
On the 7th day they opened the door
And dragged my body outside.
When the days tolled 11,
My body was finally
Released from captivity
For I died on day three.
