Sharing Computer Time
'Someday I'm going to have my own computer', she said
That's what my daughter said with tears shed
'I never get to go online anymore
I'm the one that's always ignored'
(She being the youngest of our family of four)
I said, 'Oh I think not
I'm the one that's caught in a spot'
The three others get to spend all their time
Enjoying themselves online.
If ever I want to go on
It's long after midnight or way before dawn
No time to read or comment on my PH scene
I'm lucky to post and then be unseen
Really would love to read them all
But my window of time is very small
Once in awhile I get a day to myself
Leave my books on the shelf
Come and visit you all
Read your poems and have a ball
Still I can't get to everyone
I have to pick and choose then run
Off to work, cook a meal
Laundry, parents, time too heal
Maybe I'm better off without computer time
I'll just sit back and work on my rhymes
