Slow rhythmic voodoo drums
Play hypnotically in my mind.
Slinking behind the veil
Of mysterious dreams,
I awoke in a world not mine,
I dove into a pool
Of eyes not belonging to my face.
The most amazing travel
Is not through interstellar space,
But slipping into
Someone else’s essence
Like summer perspiration.
I have secretly hid
In the souls of strangers and friends,
And only Judgment Day
Can dislodge me.
