Barry Van Allen - After Dawn

2014-11-07 0

There's that feeling of depression,
when a woman leaves a shadow of the past on you,
and the empty days so filled with love and life,
go by in tiny ticking seconds, without the future anymore.

There is no future,
there is no past,
there is no present,
there is only how and only why,
in the day after Dawn.

It's just a feeling of swaying,
not knowing which way to proceed,
tomorrow seems so lonely and long,
slowed by the insights,
and thrown by the hindsights,
that came with the day after Dawn.

To be driven by dreams,
and be tied by the love of our songs,
and then back to that feeling of learning
how not to belong.

She is the love of your life,
and now you must face it - - - she's gone,
Well, such are the feelings...
that came with the day after Dawn.
