Ananda Alves - Mirror, Mirror

2014-11-07 1

'What a pretty girl'
Says the wide clean mirror
Beautiful hair, perfect make up
Getting ready for the night

'What a sweet girl'
Says someone she just have met
Big smile on her face, shy look in her eyes
Exhaling confidence as a heartbreaker

'What a sexy girl'
Says the guy on the dancefloor
Hips moving, hands touching
Feeling proud of her success

Home sweet home
Smells candle scent
Shoes and clothes off
To that mirror another glance

'Did you have a great night?
And how does fame taste?
Not just a mirror, i'm your conscience
The one you break in vengeance
Because I show you the way you are
True or fake, issues and scars
I know what you need to see
Whoever you want to be
But, princess, you're a lie
So go on and punch me, the fault is all mine'.
