As our lips met,
I breathed in your scent,
I parted my lips,
I took you all in,
My heart stopped,
My knees felt weak,
My head spun,
And tears rolled down my cheek.
As our lips met,
You shivered,
You held my face,
Your hands tracing my cheeks,
You breathed me in,
And you sighed.
As our lips met,
We threw our bodies together,
Pressing against one another,
Wrapping each other,
I grabbed your neck,
Then tangled my hand in your hair,
I pushed your face into mine,
Pressing you to me,
And you did the same.
As the world spun out of control,
As everything faded,
We were all that remained,
Only our breathing was heard.
Finally, when our heads felt light,
You parted from me,
Just to whisper,
I love you.
We waited for so long,
For our first kiss,
And once we got it,
We were in pure bliss,
You are my drug,
And I am yours,
We hold each other together,
We won’t let go,
You keep me high,
But grounded too,
And so I can tell you,
I also love you.
