The city breaks
Silences din
Subways hover
Noise below
Horn's play to
A different drum
While traffic slowly
Flows in a hum
Man hole covers
Steam the chill
Of a wet and frigid
Eve
Concrete sidewalks
Split in space
As from work all
Executives leave
Hailing down a cab
In the City
Can prove a difficult
Task at best
Foot traffic and
Bicycle riders
Make up most all
Of the rest
And as the sun
Completely sets
The Neon colours
The streets
The bright lights of
Manhatten gleam
As the Big Apple
Prepares for:
Happy Hour Treats
