This morning I woke up and
I thought of you
Last night before I closed my eyes for sleep
I thought of you
even now as I right these words
I'm thinking of you
Your dark smokey eyes
haunting smile
Often I wonder just what exactly
do you see in me
a man with so many flaws
Yet embraced by the warmth
of your love
I think of you
and I believe
it's true
the problems I see in myself
are becoming less evident
as I think of you
the gift you give
the love we share
the smiles
and the laughter
the tears
ever after
and the hope of tomorrow
propelled by the love
of today
as I think of you.
