Walking along the marine drive
To 7.00 a.m. from Five
I saw a man walking backwards
On the trees were chirping birds
One old dry tree had a nest
I saw a green frog catch a pest
Sailing the sea were tiny boats
With women and men wearing coats
I thought I saw a man suicide
People on boats were having a ride
There were bougainvileas and roses
Men watered plants with garden hoses
A lot of crows and pigeons were around
Making quite a bit of sound
Marine drive in....... Cochin city
There are no eagles, that sure is a pity.
