Pamela James Blackwood - Autumn God

2014-11-07 9

Browning sunset, lays golden shadows through the
Times of the mysteries, Mabon I feel you here
Day and night equals itself to my arrival to your throne
New age eroticism scorns my autumn fallen bed
My hood elopes and let escape the virtuous smirk
Chaste to the this land to my protector
I visit you once again, always wanting, wanting
I want to honour this seasonal broken land
My gift is my soul and my soul is my life
My happy emotions are bottled and brewed for ripening
You are the farmer, I am the creation and the beneficiary
Impending darkness waning sunlight you set the tone
Dear god of the forest I offer you my cider
To share with the ageing goddess as I strip from the corruption
Aging deities and the spirit world voyeur on this occasion
Green man, tonight I am yours, and this plate is your poison
