the one I’m trapped behind
for no one sees me
the true me
they see the fake smile
they only see what they want to see
just enough
but not really enough
not enough to see through the mask
they see enough of me to just blend into the background
they don’t see
the pain
the tears
the scars
the screams
the depression
my cries for help
all they see is the mask
the mask of a girl
without a name
just a girl in the background
a forgotten girl
a lonely girl
a nameless girl
