Michelle Tiddy - The Wolf

2014-11-07 3

You burned into my heart, from the moment we met
From the moment you danced upon the page
You see, you made me whole, my heart you stole
And from that moment on, I changed...

I've never felt this burning heat, this
Lover's meet and greet, this tango, this waltz
This sheer abandon of remorse and shame
And then we slowly disintegrated...

This fiery passion, this lover's melt
This amazing firework, my soul you felt
And took and molded and exploded
You made me write these words...

Then you left me, time and again
You were a wolf in sheep's clothing
Never showing me your eyes, your prize
You withheld You, time, and time again

I was only human, only real, made mistakes
You always, always made me truly feel
And then you doubted, a kind of 'hate' sprouted
But only out of love, my love, for you

And now we just skim upon this life
We'll talk but never share, and that's unfair
Because I gave you everything, that I truly could
You took my heart, absolved it of wood

You made me simmer, a gentle flame
Ignited by love's truth and then distain
You hate me, you tolerate me, you wonder
But, my love, I have always been true to you

So I can't tell you anymore, anything
That will unveil my heart to the core
It is yours and always will be..
Until the end of time... wish you were mine
