Pam Thomas - I am but One

2014-11-07 0

I am but one among many who cast a dark reflection of a
self prophetic journey. Passing day to night existing until
the next dawn without fully understanding what
destination I am drawn toward. Plan for the future they
say, but it is the future that plans for me.

With no control within my grasp, I am left but to wonder
the days away and just be what I am, for I was sculpted
each day by what the past has made of me, and
tomorrow awaits with a design of it’s own for what I
will be.

I am guided by ghosts of the past and choked by fears
of the future which render me at my own mercy for
self preservation. Pray they say and it shall be given,
but the answers have their own agenda for I no not
what to ask for myself, so it will be destined for me.
All in all I am but one among many. All in all I am
but what I am.
