leaving home,
she stands with her things,
packed in small suitcases,
tears in her eyes,
streaming down her face,
her hair messy
my father,
doesn't look at her,
just turns away,
looking disgusted,
muttering,
'we don't want you here'
my mother,
starts crying,
asking her why,
why did she have to do that,
to our family
in the doorway now,
i dont know what to say,
what can you say,
after what she did,
to us
suddenly,
i realise,
she will be gone forever,
never to come back,
just like she was dead,
and,
i realise,
i will miss my niece,
being born
