Spring
Birds are nest building,
earth warming, buds a bursting;
life is waking up.
Summer
Birds learning to fly
shrubs are heavy with flower;
life is at its peak.
Autumn
Birds flying for warmth.
leaves of burnt orange and red;
life ready to sleep.
Winter
Birds searching for nuts,
leaves and fruit strewing the ground;
life hibernating.
