The soldiers left their memoir in blood.
Many a man tried to re-write their glory.
Failed attempts made then all rethink, for

The battlefield wasn’t too kind to him-
Still his hopeful wife awaits his return!
Her son’s also a soldier, but she’s grim, because
Old wounds and pain can never be unlearned!

Victory Roses
The spot where the soldier died wasn’t
Officially turned into a memorial.
Roses grace that spot today - like a gentle shroud,
Probably, motherland’s way of saying – ‘Child, You’ve done me proud! ’
