Lawrence S. Pertillar - (I See) No Other Blunders

2014-11-07 0

Up! Over here...
I'm hiding.
With eyes on both Mercury and Mars,
Then 'zip' I'm over there near Jupiter
Where from Uranus
Neptune doesn't seem that far.

All of these stars,
So bright with infinite eternity!
And me feeling welcome...
I am so free!

Saturn is more magnificent,
As I float on the back of a comet sent
To assist on my assessment of the distant Pluto.
Marveling I do as I pass beyond asteroids...
Planets and stars,
Whatever they are
Within this 'living' unending 'THING'.

And I can't believe it,
When I leave Venus...
How a speck of common cosmic dust,
Called Earth
Perched as it is in this Universe,
That still stretches from its birth...
I see this 'wonder' ball called Earth,
Managing to appear magnificent and tranquil!

I look with eyes transfix,
But I see no other blunders...
In this enveloping eternal boundless mix.
