I have to let them know
That although I too did snicker
As soon as I left
I felt immense guilt
I should have said something at the time!
I am an ass!
So here I am...
Their leader (supposedly)
Yet...
Without the intestinal fortitude
To tell them when
They've stepped
Over the line
That just sucks!
So I will tell them
And this is what I'll say...
Thoughts to ponder...
1) Treat people
As you would like to be treated
It's a basic rule
Of humanity
2) Never say something
Behind their backs
That you would not say
to their face
3) This is a team
And while I admire all of you
For everything you do
When you trash another team member
I feel shame
4) Just remember
The team member
That you trash today
Just might
Save your life tomorrow
Just a few thoughts to ponder...
