allan James saywell - True Blue Love

He found it very easy to feel blue
It was never easy to be true
He found women very hard to get to know
He was very willing for love to grow
He thought she was quite devine
Almost as good as a fine wine
But he said my spirit has to roam free
But she couldnt' see, he was fancy free
Her love shackled his spirit and killed his soul
Being around her just made him feel old
He just had to be his own man
He found it very easy to be blue
It was never easy to be true
He found women very hard to get to know
That is why she had to go
Because his spirit was not allowed to flow
She gave him love but he could not be true
Her love would only make him blue
He needed space and open plains
Not love and a whole lot of pain
Even though she looked so devine
Just like a very fine wine
He just didnt' need true blue love
