Sophia White - Four Poets

2014-11-07 5

One means never what is said
Meaningless when first is read
A is B and B is C
But when he speaks, A is Z
Metaphor and simile.

Two writes with a blazing pen
Tears, then laughs, and tears again.
Passion flames in every word
To some they're odd, to some absurd
In each stroke, heartbeats are heard.

Three is here and everywhere
You'll never know what you'll find there
A comic line, a philosophy
A romance or a parody
Creative words and imagery.

Four sits and dreams, and writes not
But slowly sifts through abstract thought
No words flow, no poems spring
She waits to write just one thing
From life one crown jewel to wring.

So One writes his mysteries
And Two writes intensities
Three writes every sort of rhyme
And Four just waits and wastes her time
Awaiting masterpiece sublime.
